Climate
The climate is tropical and oceanic with sea breezes making for excellent conditions. Water temperature is ideal for surfing. Water temperature varies from 24-29°C (78-84°F). Most surfers wear a rash guard for sun protection and wind chill factor.

South-east Trade Winds prevail; day temperatures range from 20-30°C (70-85°F) and humidity is high (65-75%). The rainy season is January to March throughout the country, but Nagigia Island has minimal rain with annual rainfall less than 1,700mm. On average, some parts of the Fiji island group have some effect from a hurricane every other year.
